            Our Indian Educational Philosophy believes that education is not to stuff someone’s brain with previously established thoughts or ideas. In real sense education is a process to bring about the desirable changes in the student or learner. Education is a process which train the learner with skills, values, attitudes, development of personality and realization of self. The paper reflects the shortcomings of our traditional evaluation system which is mainly focused on marks and has no place for learners creativity and imagination in examination. The paper further pointout the need of introducing continuous and comprehensive evaluation in present context. The paper further attempts to justify the drawbacks of examination and implementation Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation as an effective means for achieving the goals of education.
